Step 1: Download ".SIS” files and copy to memory card

• Using a PC, download the following files from this URL:
• Copy these file to the phone’s memory card by either using a memory card reader or by the phone’s USB mass storage mode.
• Step 1 complete.

Step 2: Installation of application and maps

• Goto Menu > Organizer > File Manager > Memory Card
• Select "NAVApps…” and install to memory card
• Once installation is complete, select "country-name.sis” and "LBS_Sg….”and install to memory card.
• Step 2 complete.

Step 3: Activation of NAVFone license

• Goto Menu > NAVFone
• Key in the License Number. After submitting, an SMS will be sent.
• NAVFone will exit automatically.
• Once SMS reply is received, start NAVFone.
• Step 3 complet

Samsung i900 Navigation Installation Guide

To ensure successful installation, user are advised to uncheck the 'Power Save' mode.
Please click on device->settings ->system->power- > advanced-> under “on battery power” ->uncheck the “Turn off device if not used”

Note: Upon completion of all installation, user may want to repeat the above steps to ‘check’ the “Turn off device if not used” for device to be in Power Save mode.

Install Application CAB

1) Download the Application CAB from this URL. 

2) Remove the SD card from your device.

3) Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.

4) Copy this file "NAVFone_PPC_211.2577.CAB" into your device SD card

5) Insert this SD card back into your device

6) From your device, click on -> File Explorer ->Storage card -> NAVFone_PPC_211.2577.CAB

7) The installation process will start. Press “Yes” for any security prompt.

8) Device will prompt user on installation path, is importance that user MUST select "\Storage Card", and press "Install".

9) After installation, from your device, click on -> Program -> NavFone PPC icon to start the application.

10) For first time user the application will prompt "Invalid Registration key ".

11) Locate this URL for activation code http://www.asiagis.com.sg/register/

12) Fill-in license key and your Machine ID into this website, an activation code will return on web page upon user submit.

13) Fill-in license key and the activation code into the device.

14) Done

 

Install Required Map Data

1) Download the required map from this URL (e.g Singapore_Map.MAY2008.CAB)

2) Remove the SD card from your device.

3) Insert the SD card into a SD card reader.

4) Copy this file "Singapore_Map.MAY2008.CAB" into your device SD card

5) Insert this SD card back into your device

6) From your device, click on -> File Explorer ->Storage card Singapore_Map.MAY2008.CAB

7) Device will prompt user on installation path, is importance that user MUST select "\Storage Card", and press "Install".

8) After installation, from your device, click on -> Program -> NavFone PPC icon to start the application.

9) Done
